How can a supplier get matched with contractors?
By setting their regions, counties, construction types, building uses and trades, suppliers can get automatic matching bid invites when relevant projects are posted. Suppliers can then see bidding GCs and subcontractors on those projects, and also receive material estimate requests from contractors.
Can suppliers respond to bid invitations?
Yes, suppliers can respond to requests for materials from GCs and subs via the PlanHub platform by submitting bids directly to GCs and/or submitting material estimates to subcontractors.
Is there a way to showcase my inventory or capabilities?
You can build your profile with your logo, banner, construction types, building uses, trades, and contact info so contractors can find and contact you easily. Then you can send your catalogues, spec sheets and other product and pricing information as attachments to contractors using PlanHub’s message center.
What is the difference between a supplier and a subcontractor on PlanHub?
While subcontractors on PlanHub can only bid to GCs, suppliers can also submit material estimates to subcontractors, receive material estimate requests, and access PlanHub’s subcontractor directory. Suppliers can also search for up to 10 keywords simultaneously in bid documents across all projects.
How do I follow up on leads?
PlanHub provides you with the ability to submit bids to GCs and material estimates to subcontractors on bid stage projects directly through the platform, and with owner, architect and designer contact information for early stage project leads to be able to connect with them directly. PlanHub also provides you with a bid planner to keep track of your bids, and a message center to keep track of your messages and material estimate submissions.
