Introducing Bid Builder: Stay on top of your game and create winning bids
PlanHub created Bid Builder to simplify and speed up bid creation. With an organized, detailed bid that presents line-by-line cost breakdowns effectively, you can be assured that general contractors will take notice! Here’s how easy it is to build a better bid with PlanHub:
Go to the Project Details tab for the project you want to bid on and select Select Place Bid.
- Select the trade you want to bid on.
- Add each cost item, line-by-line. Each item can be materials, labor or other.
- Fill in the rest of the cost item breakdown, including type, quantity, price, unit of measure, etc.
- Bid Builder will calculate the total for each item automatically. You can also edit, copy or delete items as needed.
- When you are done and have double-checked your information, click + to add the item to your bid.
Entering a line item is that easy.
Once you have entered all the relevant items, your bid is complete! Since each item is marked taxable or non-taxable, once you enter your tax rate at the bottom, Bid Builder can automatically calculate the total taxes, too.
Then it’s time to submit your bid! Select the GC from those provided on the project. You can even select a toggle to request that your bid be automatically sent to any GCs added to the project later. Now, upload any documents or attachments that you want to include.
Finally, review your bid in its final format. If you need to make changes, you can go back and adjust items as needed. Once everything looks good, click Submit. That’s it.
Now, you don’t have to wrestle confusing Excel spreadsheets, difficult to edit pdfs, or struggle with formatting. Taxes are easily and accurately calculated with the right totals.
