Paradise Concrete Design Studio has been in business in Phoenix, Arizona for more than 20 years, providing gorgeous precast concrete products like countertops, tables and more. The proprietary concrete product is smoother, stronger and more durable than typical concrete.
“Our concrete can span greater distances with no seams and is lightweight,”
explains Whitney Larson, the customer sales representative at the company,
“We can make anything our customers want – and we have over 67,000 colors to choose from.”
Their clients range from hotels like the Four Seasons and the Fairmont to restaurants to government buildings and more.
Larson explains that they wanted to boost productivity and find a better, more efficient way to find appropriate projects and submit more bids.
“With so many general contractors and jobs posted, it seemed like the right thing to do. We love to talk to potential customers face to face, but in an internet-driven world, more and more people are using digital tools to expand their businesses.”
One of her key goals is to ensure that the company’s crews are always busy.
“We don’t want any downtime. That’s one way I think PlanHub can really make a difference.”
Even as a new PlanHub Premier member, Larson saw the value in PlanHub. Immediately, she found and recognized customers she had worked with in the past.
“I could reconnect and see what kinds of projects they had coming up.”
Easy filters that allow her to look for projects that reference the kinds of products they fabricate at Paradise Concrete. That makes it even faster to hone in on the right jobs for her to prepare bids for. In addition, she says,
“The keyword search has been huge for us. Being able to use keywords to search through the plans so we know exactly what the specifications are saves a lot of time.”
Finally, she says,
“Being able to upload a bid directly to the contractors is so easy. I know it’s getting to all the right people.”
Larsen is still exploring all the ways PlanHub can help her meet her goals.
“I think this will allow me to get more bids in and develop stronger relationships over time.”
And it is helping her make the most of her time.
“I am the primary person who prepares estimates and bids. The more I can get done with every hour, the more bids I can submit, the more jobs we are likely to win. I know we have a superior product, so I am confident that we’ll get the projects.”
This can translate into a major revenue boost.
“If we get just two major commercial jobs a month and ensure we are booked to capacity, that might mean as much as a 30% increase in revenue.”
