We all want a crystal ball to predict what the future holds. PlanHub has got something even better. Last week we released our 2022 Construction Industry Report looking at aggregated data from 26,000 general contractors and 270,000 subcontractors. In addition, we conducted in-depth surveys in December with 465 general contractors to ask them questions about what they are experiencing in their businesses. To launch our report, PlanHub recently held a webinar with over 85% of PlanHub’s general contractors attending.
Key Highlights
Predicting growth. Despite the doom and gloom we often see in the media, our survey showed optimism about the outlook for 2023 — 82% of GCs expect to grow their businesses this year!
More civil infrastructure projects. PlanHub saw a 290% increase in transportation and civil infrastructure projects posted on PlanHub between January 2021 and October 2022.
Role of technology. Technology is playing an increasingly important role in the industry – both general contractors and subcontractors are rapidly adopting technology tools like PlanHub to increase productivity – in fact 91% of GCs are planning to use or considering using new technologies in 2023.
