PlanHub Premier Feature Spotlight: Imported Projects
Key Takeaways
- Forward any invitation-to-bid email from iSQFT, BuildingConnected, SmartBidNet, or PipelineSuites directly to PlanHub so your outside projects are automatically converted and added to your pipeline.
- Manage every bid your team is working on — from any platform — in one centralized place so nothing slips through the cracks and everyone stays aligned.
- Use PlanHub's Matching Logic to link your imported projects to existing PlanHub listings, giving you the ability to submit bids directly to general contractors without switching platforms.
- Manually enter any project that arrives outside a supported format so you can keep your full pipeline organized and tracked in a single view.
- Give your entire team visibility into imported projects so you eliminate duplicate outreach, improve coordination, and move faster on every opportunity.
Did you know that you can import projects from outside PlanHub? It’s a question we get asked all the time. The answer is YES you can – and it’s fast, easy and convenient. It’s a new, exclusive feature for PlanHub Premier members.
Imported Projects: Manage all your bids in a single place
If you have received an invitation to bid (ITB) email from a project in another system, it’s easy to import it to PlanHub. If you are in a free trial or a current PlanHub Premier member, you will see a new banner on top of your project list page, Add ITBs. Simply forward the ITB email to the email address located in your “Add ITB” page. PlanHub will automatically convert the forwarded ITB email into a project that you can view in your Imported Project list. Currently, PlanHub supports the following formats: iSQFT, Building Connected, SmartBidNet (ConstructConnect), and PipelineSuites.
You can also manually enter a project. Go to the “Add ITBs” page and click on “Create Project”. Fill in the information – including project name and location, as well as the project value, square footage, and bid due date. Once completed, the project will appear in your Imported Projects list view. If you need to make changes later, you can easily update the information by going to the Imported Project Details page and clicking Edit.
One thing to note, since your imported projects are not directly connected to GCs, you can’t send bids directly to project GCs through PlanHub. However, PlanHub’s new Matching Logic function will look at the information in your imported project and try to match it to an existing PlanHub project. If we find a match, you simply link to the existing PlanHub project – allowing you to place bids directly through PlanHub to the project’s general contractors.
Now, you have the ability to manage all the project bidding from one centralized location. What’s more, everyone in your company can view each other’s imported projects, so it creates new efficiencies for your whole team. It’s just one more way PlanHub can simplify bidding and streamline the bidding process from start to finish.
